Sedona and Boynton Canyon Trail

Did a quick day trip to Sedona since Donna didn’t have to work today!  We decided to try doing part of the Bonyton Canyon Trail.  It was a flat, easy trail, at least as far as we went!  I read that the last 1/2 mile was definitely uphill, but the view it gets you to is amazing!  The entire trail is 6 miles round-trip, but we only did about one mile in!  Really pretty!  The temps werre in the high-60’s…  perfect hiking weather!

Then we stopped at Tlaquepaque to wander around for a while.  It’s probably been 10 years since I was last there.  Being it was a Monday there were few people around.  We wandered through stores and galleries.  It was all decorated for Christmas and was so pretty with such simple, elegant decorations!  We split an amazing Carrot Cake Cupcake and had coffee in the courtyard and then wandered around a little more.  There were still pockets of bright yellow Poplar trees and a few red Maple leaves left.  I’m sure this is close to the end of any color for this year.

We stopped at Butterfly Burger on the way out of town and split one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life!  It was 1/2-lb. of Angus Beef and it was incredible!

Donna picked up a couple Christmas gifts and I found a hammered silver (Um… fake silver!) ring!  Really a fun day!
