Flagstaff – Oct. 8, 2026
Luna and I set out this morning to find the color! We were NOT disappointed! It was sooooo beautiful! We started at Aspen Corner which was only 11 miles from downtown Flagstaff.
When you park along the road at Aspen Corner there is a trail on the left side of the street (as you are heading toward the top to Snowbowl). You take the trail down about 1/4 mile to find the lone swing in the middle of a field surrounded by Aspens!
Then we finished the drive up to the top of Snowbowl and hiked Aspen Loop Trail. It says it’s a 1.8 mi. loop, but there were just pine trees on the loop itself, so I probably would skip the loop itself next time and just stay in the awesome color. It was crowded, even tho we went mid-week, but everyone was so respectful of others taking photos and trying not to get in anyone else’s shot, it was really fun! The colors were AMAZING!!
