I've put this surgery off for a long time! Somehow the thought of someone cutting off my leg... while only a temporary state during the procedure, wasn't particularly enticing!

We went to explore the Salt River today, mainly as a way to try to distract me from the fact that I'm having hip replacement tomorrow! Yikes!

Desert Botanical Gardens
With over 4400 species of flora, the Desert Botanical Garden boasts the largest number of desert plants in a living collection anywhere on Earth! They also focus on conservation efforts for endangered plants. More than 400 of the Garden's plants are rare or endangered species.

Donna and I went to Prescott today to check out the changing leaves! We went up the back way and as we were circling up the hill we saw the memorial to the Granite Mountain Hotshots.
