Nat Geo Speakers Series | Rae Wynn-Grant

Megan and I went to the 4th of 5 in the Speakers Series tonight.  It was called, Secrets of the Bears.  Rae Wynn-Grant was the most dynamic, enthusiastic and funny speaker I’ve ever heard!  She has  such passion for her career!  She taught so much about each of the eight species ofbears we have in the world without ever making it feel like she was throwing out facts!  It was done visually and with so much enthusiasm!

We skipped last months event because it just sounded boring and depressing!  We went to have Margaritas and Nachos instead!  That was neither boring or depressing!!  🙂

Part of her bio states “Rae Wynn-Grant is a Carivore Ecologist.  She has dedicated her life to ecological research and conservation. She works in the American Prairie Reserve to protect and restore iconic wildlife populations, including North American black and grizzly bears, in a region once known for its great number of wild animals. But when the wild lands of this habitat are crisscrossed by roads, fences, and ranches, how can bears and humans coexist peacefully?”

But… it was so much more than that!  Truly the best speaker I’ve ever heard!
