Bob & Cheryl’s Visit 6/9/25 – 6/12/25

Bob and Cheryl were in Palm Springs for a visit with Brianna.  After she went back home they came over for a few days since they didn’t have to leave for Texas for a week-and-a-half.

They got in on Monday, 6/9, at about noonish.  It was too hot to do much of anything outside so we went up to Desert Ridge to see the new Tom Cruise movie, Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning.  It was great!  The special effects were awesome!

The next morning we headed out early to Desert Botanical Gardens.  The first Tuesday of the month is free admission, so… FREE was good!!  It was still pretty hot, but got some exercise, never the less!

Afterwards Bob took us out to Soul Cafe for some ‘hubcap-sized’ pancakes!  YUM!!

On Wednesday morning we headed up to Pine to see the Tonto Natural Bridge State Park.  With the promise of cooler temperatures, we were psyched!  Hummmm…  it was still SO. FREAKIN’. HOT. in Pine, that we didn’t do many of the trails!  I don’t think the temps were any cooler in Pine than they were in Phoenix!  It was fun, though… and really pretty!

While we were in Pine I wanted to go to the Pine Lavendar Farm.  I thought it was the one I had been to in the past and I remember it being very large, lots of fields to walk and a large indoor food and gift area.  Welp… this was NOT the same one!  This was more than a little ‘under-whelming’!!  Oh well… at least it was only 5 minutes from the Bridge!!

Thursday morning we were going to head into Scottsdale to try out Tiger Woods ‘Popstroke’.  It looked fun.  We were driving separate so Bob and Cheryl could just continue on to CA after we were done and not have to re-trace steps.  Before we even got to Desert Ridge Bob decided it was too hot to do anything outside so we just said goodbye at the Gas Station and they headed on their way!

We’ll try it next time they’re in town and it’s not 147-degrees!

One thing I know for sure though…

Bob had an AWESOME TIME!!  🙂
