Lisa came out for a really FUN visit from April 17th -April 21st! We didn’t realize until after she booked the tickets that it was over the Easter Weekend! Guessing that Kayaking down the Salt River on Easter wasn’t the way she would have spent the day at home! (Yep, Church might have been involved!) But, she did catch the service online, so that must be almost the same, without having to dress up!!
The first morning we went to Goat Yoga! I’m not really too much into Yoga, but totally into baby goats! Luckily for us, so was the instructor! There were 26 newly born baby goats that she totally wanted us to play with and dress up for Easter!! I can totally get behind that kind of yoga class!
It was hysterical!!
And later that afternoon we went into Old Town Scottsdale to Truly Blessed Jewels to get permanent jewelry together! I LOVE mine!!
Saturday I had to work at Liberty so Lisa came with me! She spent a lot of the time watching Dr. Lamb do a surgery! But there was also time for Frankie to harass her! (I miss that Turkey since she went to the Prescott Zoo!!)
And then Saturday night we went to Harkins Camelview to their Rooftop Cinema! It was so much fun! We saw The Parent Trap and it was really funny!
We played Cornhole that they had set up before the movie started and it was a great night for an outdoor show. I have to say tho; the view from the rooftop totally sucked! All you really saw if you looked over the edge was the back side of another building! I guess i was expecting a nice view of the Valley! NOT!!
So glad we could Kayak down the Salt on Easter Sunday! I was really surprised they were even open! Lisa and I had done a 2-person kayak before on Lake Pleasant, but this was way more fun!
We actually did pretty well other than a couple times we were either ‘beached’ on rocks or totally ended up in the weeds! And luckily, most of both of those episodes were caught on video!!
Also… FINALLY saw horses along the river! My first time seeing them after all the times I’d tubed down the river!
And a nice breakfast at Breakfast Kitchen and Bar and she headed back to Indiana! SO. MUCH. FUN!!!
